Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Bilingual Spanish Safety Coordinator to support our field and maintenance operations. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting the daily operations of our fleet, equipment, and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead new hire safety orientations and assist with employee onboarding to ensure a safe and compliant start for all team members.
  • Facilitate ongoing safety training sessions and employee safety meetings to reinforce workplace safety practices.
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections and field visits to monitor safety compliance, identify potential hazards, and provide immediate coaching or corrective action when necessary.
  • Perform monthly inspections of company vehicles and equipment using established checklists and coordinate follow-up on maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate equipment inventory records and ensure crews have the tools and resources needed to operate safely and efficiently.
  • Support and oversee fleet, maintenance, and mechanic operations to help ensure safe, reliable, and compliant performance.
  • Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reporting as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Safety Coordinator, Safety Specialist, or similar role supporting field operations.
  • Experience within construction, landscaping, facilities, maintenance, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Cal/OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
